By Sea:
- Passengers on Private Boats: MXN 861.

- Currently: Exempt from paying the FMM fee.
- Starting July 2025: Cruise passengers will be required to pay the FMM fee of MXN 861.

- Temporary Resident (Residente Temporal – RT):

- 2 years: $8,347 MX

Change of Status from Tourist to Resident or from Temporary to Permanent Resident
FFor any application involving a change of status—whether through family ties or transitioning from Temporary Residency after 4 years to gain the right to become a Permanent Resident—there is an additional fee for reviewing your case. This fee is separate from the cost of the new resident card that will be issued.
